Howdy everyone! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. The surf was larger and even more consistent today than yesterday so more tubes for everyone woohoo!
There were quite a few riderless beauties rolling through just after mid-tide. I guess everyone was worn out from the morning session.
This guy got one of the better lefts I saw while I was down shooting. Way to lock in on this bomb amigo.
There were some lulls in the surf today, but Colorados is definitely gradually waking up from slumber. To see good barrels coming in all day through all tides is a good start.
There was some size today! It wasn’t massive, but I’d say that top to bottom this wave would classify as overhead.

Slushing the inside whitewash around on rail. Someone’s gotta do it right?
Good sequence of rotation on display from this surfer here. The guys out this afternoon were making full use of the end sections after the barrels. Better men than I. I typically kick out post tube, because I can’t do turns XD

This guy did a good job of slamming on the breaks to check into this emerald green cylinder. I bet he’s enjoying the vision here!
So many nuggets today! I wish I could’ve teleported out for this set.
I think this was Bruno sliding through this beautiful right! I like his hand posture here, double hand up pump!
Pipeline or Colorados? Sometimes you don’t know.
That wraps up today’s surf action amigos! It’s pretty rare that we see a panga boat gander into the inside of the breaking waves, especially on a bigger swell! These guys knew what they were doing though and managed to perfectly time their retreat back out to the lineup. Tomorrow’s forecast looks pretty good as well, so rest up again for more action mañana?

Well, as promised, I got out there early this AM, but after hearing the raining all night, I had a pretty good feeling there would be some morning sickness to the texture of the surf this morning when I got down there. Sure enough, it definitely wasn’t like yesterday. Remember..
Hola & Happy Tuesday Ya’ll! If you happened to check out yesterdays report, you’ll notice the water completely cleaned up from chocolate milk brown and it’s already back to it’s nice clean blue color and more importantly, there is still lots of swell out in the water.
