Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, September 20, 2024

Josh S

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great Friday. Today’s report is from Colorados. Unfortunately Spot X was dormant today.

Josh S

The tide was a little low, but the waves weren’t so bad at Colorados this morning. Not many tubes, but good for working on maneuvers.

Josh S

Chill waves, so why not practice some chill surfing?

Josh S

No lips or end-sections were safe this morning. Even with his chill style he didn’t miss a chance to smack the lip.

Josh S

This rider blasted through this carve at full power. You can tell by his open palm and full arm extension that he isn’t playing around.

Fins out Friday!

The lefts today were about as good as the rights. The goofy-footers were stoked this morning. Hands up!

Josh S

The hands up quick snap worked on the first move because the section was critical and his timing was good. Here it’s a bit less functional. A rotating carve would’ve been more appropriate (and safer) for this section.

Josh S

Keeping the surfers out the back cool and drenched with a five gallon fuente pura bucket of spray.

Josh S

Float the section!

Josh S

The only barrel of the morning window. I hope he enjoyed his time in the tunnel!

Josh S

Today’s waves weren’t so bad, especially in the morning. We had better make due with what we get in the next few days as some really bad weather and wind are forecasted in the near future. This October is looking like it could be a wet and windy one unfortunately. No use tilting at windmills though. Hasta mañana.
