Checking all the regular spots and not a single surfer to be seen the entire stretch of our coastal cove.

Making my way all the way to thee northern end of the beach, I was prepared to call it another wash up day of no surfing action, but to my surprise, I actually spotted not one, not two, but three hombres out surfing the point.

This is and was about as sheltered as any place was going to be, or at least have some rolling waves that you could ride for a about 100 yards, you could fin yourself in the spot and nab one!

Yeaaaah buddy, paddle, paddle hard, you got this one!

He got it and now it was all about just having some fun traversing back and forth along this cliff lined right hand point break.

Taking it all the way in… nice one dude!

Here is a good example of the wonky mess that the ocean is feeling right now. A lot of backwash, some bigger waves crashing into the rocks out the back and sitting or trying to sit and keep in place with the right ones when they came through.

Certainly some good swell in the water. Even had these guys caught on the inside a couple of times.

The lighting and overall sunlight today was very dreamlike, Big Rob going big and dropping in late on this nice little inside bowl. Which is actually right over a lot of big boulder sized rocks and underwater crevices.

Making that backside turn look easy, but a lot of water moving around with the tide and swell pushing all along the side of that rock shelf where you surf right near it, to stay in the sweet spot and energy of the wave here.

Taking this one literally all the way in and with a pretty solid sick little off he lip on that inside closeout section, buenísimo ride buddy!!!

See, the skies and sunshine weather today was gorgeous! Not a bad office view for today eh??? Ok, that’s’ it. Stoked to actually see some people surfing today. Come back and see if maybe those winds switch around and see what Big Chris has to offer, or better yet, what mother ocean will have to offer for us all. SBS is out ~
