Somewhere in Nicaragua
For those of you planning a trip down – Remember this – whenever there is a giant hurricane in the gulf of Mexico, we get stormy onshore conditions here. It happened with Ivan last year, Katrina earlier and now again with Rita. Check out the bay in San Juan Del Sur.
Check out how rough it was in the bay – it’s really dangerous for the boats when it gets like this. This is a shot from the “Marina”.
….So dangerous in fact that this big fishing vessel broke free of it’s mooring and washed up on the beach!
When you see the bay looking like this – and ton’s of locals surfing out there. It’s a good idea to get your boat out of the water.
And that’s what we did with the “Dirty Sanchez” – after one failed pass at the trailer – man that was sketchy. More bad weather forecast for tomorrow…

Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. I saw the waves turn on and off about 7 separate times today. The conditions were in constant flux. It just so happened to be that the best window of the day was when I took pictures around 1:00pm.
