If this doesn’t get your surf imagery sphincter going, I’m not sure what will?? So many crazy sequences from todays session it was ridiculous!

Of course with any perfect day, you would need an almost perfect makable wave ratio, which today was maybe in the high 75 to 80 percentile. But the travel time in todays “un-makable” ones, sure had some pretty sick views. Just ask Nacho!

With that tide quickly dropping it also cleaned out about 60% of the morning crowd too.

When I initially went to check it, there must have been at least 25 or 30 surfers out.

By the time I made it back down with my camera, there was only about 10 people out, and here’s one of them, Jason with a sick and one of the very few turns I saw since it was mostly all barrels.

Fast. Deep. and almost perfect barrels each and every time.

Catching the drone footy and our always smiling super chill, funny and all around rad dude (aka other surf reporter)… Mr. Chris Russell

As always, Kevin Cortez performs on the highest level out there daily.

Here he is, still going on one of his many multi barrel waves while Jason throws a “stoke shaka” for his amigo, while paddling back out!

For the waves that did close out, Kevin always seems to rise above the flawed and imperfect situations. Oh and yes, he stuck this, in case you were wondering.

Tropical beauty surrounded in a land where waves are one of the best features here in Nicaragua.

That was Nacho dropping in on that last photo and this is him here, from a different perspective. How’d you like to see HIS PERSPECTIVE???

Jason on one of those 20% runners that had a higher chance of clamping down on him.

Lucky for him, he’s put in a lot of time to know and understand how to make most of the waves he pulls into. Lucky for me, I kept shooting and had my undivided eyes still on him so I could see him do this sick cutback after he came flying out of the barrel. It was a WIN / WIN!

Derek pulling deep from within some of his old Nias days.

We had some bigger overhead sized barrels…..

And we had some smaller fun sized barrels…..

We also had some chunky churned up sandy super shallow barrels.

But the best part of today was that it wasn’t onshore and this place was back to it’s old magical ways once again!

Alrighty my far out tubular friends. That’s how it went! Maybe the after noon session will be good too, gonna head down to check it now. Maybe I’ll see ya out there??? Yewwww ~
