There were 10 to 15 surfers out this morning, which makes sense since everyone was stir crazy after being landlocked the past few days.

The tide was high early in the morning so there weren’t tons of tubes up for grabs. Best to work on turns on the smooth wave faces (at long last).

If you were patient and in the right place at the right time, then there were barrels though.

I wasn’t expecting the waves to be anywhere near this clean, but we lucked out. Never neglect a gift!

Kevin chucking some buckets on the inside while a good left reels off in the background. I thought I was hallucinating when I saw the waves when I rocked up this morning haha. The onshores got us bad for a few days.

There was probably a window right around mid-tide (before the wind came up) where there were some high-quality barrels.

Although the waves were fun, I think Kevin made the right call to bring his wider and “fishier” board. Especially given the high-tide.

I feel pretty satisfied after today’s fun waves. You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone! Tomorrow actually looks like it could be decent too. It might not be good for me to count my chickens yet though haha. See y’all tomorrow.

Buenos días y feliz Lunes! Got down to the beach for the super dawn patrol, but was greeted with some pretty crazy onshore winds. Not even a sliver of a chance of just a little morning glory of some slight glassiness before all that low pressure system and hurricane activity is sucking every inch of..
