We actually got a pretty good downpour of rains last nigh. Which usually means one thing from time to time in the early AM the next day. Morning sickness. Although we had the mixed up conditions, Jeison didn’t look one bit confused about what to do.

So you get to the beach to check it and it’s a little bit of a mess, what do you do? Grab the Uber-Ski to the nearest point break of course!

You can see by the texture out the back that it wasn’t as good as it’s been the last few days.

After about an hour or so, the winds slightly started to turn around and the sun came out to play too.

Gary, all smiles after watching and waiting for about 30 min…. this is the look of when the light changes green.

SUP’ing with out a paddle over a big close out like this one is super ballsy, but stoked this dude made it ok!

Derek has been absolutely killing the barrel’s here. Oh and he’s on a single fin. Even more props!

This is what we love to see on any given day. OFFSHORE!!!

hmmm who could this be….?

ahhh, it’s Lesther getting spat out of another sick little tubo.

Followed up with a rad little alley oop.

Mr. Chris deep in the PC trenches, while John G’s got his back watching out the back.

Maycol, cincuenta en, cincuenta fuera.

Jeremy was waiting patiently in the early AM for the conditions to clean up as well, but he paddled out around first light.

So when it got really good, he ended up clocking a solid 3 or 4 hour session. Can you blame him?

There was only one solo chica out there and I have to give her some kudos for charging this barrel on a LB. She didn’t quite make it, but her efforts were super impressive!

Speaking of impressive…. Jeison’s surfing has been on the up and up a lot as of lately.

Lesther isn’t afraid to experiment at all. For example, I’ve seen him ride waves (big waves for that matter) switch stance, he’ll pretty much go on any wave you throw at him. This is a new one, maybe he’s trying a new style of kneeboarding?

You know the waves are getting better when you start seeing this. A-frame, ride sharing.

Also when you see things like this.

Or this!

Tim was on fire today!

Check out this low tide, drained out below sea level salt mine he packed.

There were definitely some funky little barrels out there.

Look at this wave even has a bonus freakish lip section.

Sometimes this is what happens when the waves are at low tide. One mans trash is another mans treasure.

David taking off on a nice well overhead clean green machine.

My buddy Juan was killing the barrel scene out there today as well.

When there’s room for a good turn, I always say, take advantage when you can.

Gary looked like he was having a pretty fun session out there. Nothing like surfing in board shorts, right Big GarRR?

This unknown pig dogger wasn’t a barrel dodger at all. Locked and loaded!

David on another sweet right.

and he’s another pig dogging, non barrel dodger as well.

Chris doesn’t even have the words barrel dodging in his vocabulary.

This is my buddy Juan who I mentioned a little earlier who was having a pretty stellar surf session out there today.

The sequence is ridiculously long, so I just posted a few shots of it for reference.

But I’ll just say…. this wave was STELLAR!!!

Gorillas in the mist. AKA the morning crew! It ended up being a great day out there for waves, once again. Be sure to come back tomorrow to keep the September Session thing rolling with us! Buenas noches ~
