The wind was blowing from the West, which made for a few mini-barrels on the lefts. You needed to grab the right one, but there were a few out there.

You’ll notice that the sky is very dark and there are shadows cast over the rights today. That is because we have / had a big front sitting up toward Jiquiliste / Mag Rock area casting darkness our way from the West.

The powerful current that has been prevalent with the West winds has reset the sandbars on the beach. There are at least a handful of new surfable peaks scattered on the North side of Colorados.

When I reviewed this photo I imagined Italo rotating through a backside air-reverse over the lip.

If someone backdoored this left I think they would’ve made a good barrel. At least good by today’s standards.

Being a goofy-footer, I need to mentally prep myself to practice airs in the coming days. It’s rare for us to get the wind blowing underneath us while going frontside.

And here’s a little left-barrel for our bodyboarding companions who could’ve squeezed inside. Today the waves looked fun, but not quite as good as yesterday or the day before. I haven’t been checking the forecast, but Tony Z will bring us some good action tomorrow!
RECENT REPORTS

Hello and Happy Sunday, The onshore winds continue this morning, but they’re not too strong. Waves still looking fun. @tonyzphotos reporting.
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Hey everyone, welcome to Thursday’s report from Colorados. The waves were fairly similar today relative to yesterday, but I’d say it was hollower.

Aloha friends! Well, we’ll make that a big wet ALOHA! One thing’s for sure, we have some waves here that can rival with the good old pacific chain of islands of Hawai’i and the continuously rainy days can be equally matched as well, at least for this season! Finally some folks down at the beach..
