Although we all knew the āgood weatherā wasnāt going to last forever (being this is our normal rainy and unfavorable weather season), still arriving at the beach and seeing this after the last couple days of āINSANELYā sick waves, it leaves you feeling a little heartbroken.
So that being said, Iām not the type of guy to bring the party down! Weāll just do a little side by side comparison of todays mess with yesterdays glory of a beautiful end of the season September day.Ā Yup, this was yesterday!
And this is today. Night and day difference!
If thereās one good thing that comes after a few really good days of pumping surf, everyones completely surfed out and noodle armed to the max.
I checked the waves a couple times and I never saw one surfer out. I guess the noodle arm syndrome was in full effect today.
With solid kegging barrels like this, its no wonder.
Those wispy palm fringes are not pointing in the right direction!!!!!
Still pinching myself from yesterdays waves. It was like this pretty muchĀ the entire day.
Messy with a side of YUCK! Haha – but believe it or not, there is still some magnificent swell in the water, itās just blown out.
Iām sure this dude would take 100 more of these over todays waves!
Backdoor made a quick appearance here the last couple of days.
I actually did see one guy out. Here he is.
Hereās one guy (actually itās local charger Lesther Espinoza) standing comfortably tall at his favorite home wave, ayer.
Iād be running away too, I guess. better to go find something else to do today.
If have to leave you with something dreamy yet a little bit scary, it will have to be this sand dredging low tide monster Jeison bagged yesterday at dead low tide.
Super heavy, super thick and LOVES to eat surfboards. Matter a fact, this ate his second board of the session in less than half an hour out there puling into these beasts! SOOOO Sikkkkk JaaaaySON!!!!Alright my friends, thanks for stopping by to see what happen today and hope the little slideshow from yesterdays waves helped stoke you out a little. Speaking of slideshow with these down days of waves, come on by the new Iguana Brewery for some drinks and $1 Pizza by the slice tomorrow evening from 7-9 where Iāll be showing photos on the big screen from the last few days of good swell!!! Hope to see you down there! Cheers ~ B
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The conditions were very similar to yesterday, possibly a little bigger on the sets.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Good Afternoon, we had some fun waves in the chest to head high range coming in today. There were some long lulls but when they came there wasĀ fun to be had.
