Rights dominated the lineup at the main peak, but the waves were very shifty from the various short-interval swells in the water.

A fair portion of the waves were fat as Pangas lines up best with higher interval swells. It was a good day to whip a fatter, fishier board like what this guy was on.

Speed and staying in the pocket were the name of the game today. This surfer likely got the longest ride of the morning.

He zig-zagged about 5 times from rail to rail all the way into the inside.

This surfer sliced through a nice carve, but I think he could’ve executed a more radical end-section move had he hit the whitewater ball behind him.

This guy was precise and nimble utilizing his speed through his backside roundhouse. He had a good read on today’s conditions.

There were a few rideable lefts too. The lefts cornered off quicker and had steps in them from the Westerly wind though.

It’s important not to extend through your turns too early when the waves are soft though. Shortboards burn speed on flat wave sections.

I like the deliberate effort that this guy made to practice rotating through this turns with his upper body.

Hey! Ka-Ching! This goofy-footer hit the lottery by finally getting a left with a critical section to attack.

As I was packing up to leave a few surfers made the smart decision to paddle out at the side peak. The rides weren’t as long, but the waves there offered more opportunity for critical maneuvers.

Schwappah! That’s what we like to see. Powerful turns with good style and technique. This concludes Thursday’s surf report. The sun was bright for a few hours so I’m really hoping that the flooding and river levels decline via evaporation. Clean ocean water would be nice! I’ll see y’all tomorrow.
RECENT REPORTS

Hello Monday, the winds weren’t offshore as predicted, but we did get some light swirling side shores which helped keep some shape. @tonyzphotos reporting.
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Welcome to Tuesday surf report. Early morning started with some glass and then the onshores kicked in. @tonyzphotos bringing todays report.

Howdy damas y caballeros, welcome to your Monday surf report! That little hiccup in swell (I was hoping for that I mentioned yesterday) actually came in as predicted. It was literally only like a foot MAYBE 2 feet bigger than yesterday, but the sun was out, the conditions continue to be pristine (for October standards)..
