Definitely not the prettiest of days here.
BUT, I did spot one lonely surfer way down the way. The only one I saw the whole day.
Ahhh, look though, it’s my good friend Daniel. Surfing right in front of his house. Unfortunately this was my only surfer and only wave I saw ridden today.
So what better to do on a day like this than to dig through the ol’ archives and see maybe what it looked looked like exactly one year ago today. Well this is certainly a sight for sore eyes! And for many reasons!
So on this day October 5th 2019, not only was it clean and actually kinda pumping out front. Little did any of us know what we had in store (or the world for that matter) of what was coming.
I’m sure John will be reading todays report and will be stoked to see this little flashback from a year ago.
MANNNN what any of us here right now would do to have this today.
I’m not making this stuff up either, this is October. The month when most people flee this place for better waves.
I don’t know if you can go find much better than this… at least that’s what these people were thinking when they rolled the dice and decided to come to Nicaragua in early October of last year.
This could easily be May, June or July. Heck I wish it were actually really today!!!
Here’s a blast form the past…. so many people who aren’t here anymore, but I bet wish they could be back here in a heartbeat. Nice one Antone!
Grant free flowing a year ago, so much has changed in one year right amigo!
Justin was here with his crew too and boy were they killing it.
To think it’s very very possible that we might have something like this again this month makes me feel are warm and fuzzy inside! And I’m sure this barrel makes Justin feel the same way!
Ahhhhh those warm sunny days and reminiscing about them… like they say, pictures are timeless.
I really hate to bring you all back down from your flashback high, but it is what it is. But nothing wrong with taking a little stroll down memory lane from time to time. Thanks for playing Nica Surf Report Time Machine with me today!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for next set of days. Monday’s surf report is coming your way from Panga Drops, specifically “French Fries”. The swell was close to non-existent, but Pangas did its magic and magnified the lackluster size into something playful and shreddable.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Happy Saturday amigos! WOW, what a day of waves we had out there!! If you had any doubts that the great Pacific cannot deliver the goods down here in Latin America in October, check out todays report.
Good Afternoon, Rainy season is here and with that came some onshore winds.
Hello everybody, this is Parker checking in for Thursday’s “surf report.” If you haven’t already heard, tropical storm Nate hit us hard. However, we are very thankful that no serious damage occurred (heavy local flooding, minor property flooding, downed trees, and other cosmetic stuff). Because today was a crazy day, we don’t have photos to show you…
