Somewhere in Nicaragua
Much better than yesterday, but that’s not saying much. We’ve still got chocolate water and stormy conditions today…it’s just not quite as rough as yesterday. The waves are a little smaller too, as if that matters.
OK, check this out. Here is a photo of the road that parallels Rio San Juan. Yes, it is underwater. This Photo is from yesterday.
Here is a photo of the same spot today. Notice, the water level of the river has dropped and the road is gone. Residents who live along this road have already started to petition the mayor’s office to help them rebuild the only road that passes by their homes – I could’t believe they had to do that.

Hey amigos! Welcome to Saturday evening’s surf report from French Fries. Today was very small. The smallest day of waves I’ve seen in weeks. It’s the smallest day we’ll probably see for a good two weeks. If Surfline is right then the Easter bunny is bringing swell.
