Meet Lance Moss of Surfari Charters. If you don’t know or haven’t heard about him, he is the definition of charging. I’ll show you…
His wife Kristen (and baby boy Hunter) hold it down at the business. As a result, Lance has an open schedule to fine tune his barrel riding skills.
He knows how to tame this beast and get dangerously deep.
Yewww!! There you go Lance!
Just to feel the energy of each wave was something special.
Look how deep he is!!! For once, he didn’t make out but that’s why the guys wear helmets and vests. Way to commit though, Lance!
At least we saw the wave spit! Lance says falling here feels like a car accident. I don’t doubt it.
Surfari Charters has some of the safest and best captains in Nicaragua. We got close enough to see through the tube. Check it out!
You have to earn the luxury of towing in by paddling in first. Grab that rail and hold on!!
It’s questionable but Lance may have taken the wave of the day. Keep scrolling down and see what you think.
He was so deep and the offshore winds were strong. During the wave, the spray blinded him for two seconds. Would you ride a stand up barrel with your eyes closed!?!
I guess the real question is, can you make a stand up barrel with your eyes closed? Lance can.
Take a minute to look at this wave. I understand why there were no takers on this one… Needless to say, it takes seasoned wave selection to find the perfect nuggets.
It takes a professional driver to get the surfer in the perfect spot. Without Travis’ help, it would have been tough for Lance to execute.
Lance set the bar pretty high so show us what you got Travis!
Who wins for the tube of the day?! This one is pretty sick on many accounts.
The real champ of the day was Rick Briggs. He takes amazing water shots while dodging double overhead waves.
Look at all that spray off the lip. But don’t look too hard and get distracted from his sick tube.
Yeah Travis! Two back to back bombs and barrels!
Ok primos, I hope you enjoyed see some heavy waves! Before we leave for the night, we want to say a huge thank you Lance and Kristen at Surfari Charters for hooking it up with their boat. Thank you each for the opportunity and contributing to the report! Have a good weekend y’all and keep staying tuned for more great waves. Adios amigos!!

Hey everyone! Welcome to May 1st’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were still fairly small today. The sets had some size and space to work with though. This surfer demonstrated some textbook form through his bottom turn.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Thursday afternoon’s surf report from Colorados. The size and consistency dropped notably from yesterday and this morning. There were still a few little corners to be found though.
Hey everyone! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. Welcome to Wednesday morning’s surf report from Playa Colorado. FROM THE ARCHIVES
Good afternoon. This is the four day in a row that we only have a person in the water and its not because the waves does not work. A peak is breaking good and constantly. The wind is soft all day and the high tide was the best.
