Both rivers at each end of the beach were still flowing steady, but not gushing. It seems that we had an offshore front push through overnight, so the tide and wind blew some of the debris out to sea. It was a pleasant surprise to have surfers to document and a few sneaky barrels too!

Oscar releasing some of his pent up energy from being landlocked the past few days.

Scott has been patiently waiting for an opportune moment to get back in the water, and the moment came today. He was already surfing by 8:30am when I walked down to shoot, so he was quick to strike while the wind was blowing offshore.

360 spin or alley-oop? I’ll leave it a mystery… Haha

Lesther busted a few airs on some of the chippier and lumpier sections he encountered today. There were air sections, but also a few good tubes. I was surprised at how smooth the wave-faces were relative to yesterday.

Looks like this guy was literally throwing spray! Use the force!

A frothy cavern! He better be squinting his eyes so no foam or small debris get in. Luckily no big logs rolling over him in the lip today haha!

He did a good job locking in and getting deep, but did he make it? I’ll leave it a mystery again.

Lesther on what was probably the only South peak right that I saw while shooting. Leave it to Lesther to sniff out a clean drainer.

One last beauty to close today’s report. We should have some swell hanging around for about another 5 to 7 days, so if the wind stays favorable then we could see some fun waves over the next few days. I’ve got a case of “Hopium” after today’s improvement. Hasta mañana.
