John was the only surfer who paddled out while I was shooting. He was the stuntman for today’s report.

Gabby would be proud to know that John has been working on his tap dancing as evidenced during this turn here haha!

It was one of those days where the waves were more challenging than they looked from the beach.

John still got the job done and pulled off a few nice turns though.

I’m pretty surprised at how much John “de-weights” his front toes during his frontside cutbacks. On a longboard I do the same thing, but I’ve never tried it on a shortboard.

Looks like his hamstrings aren’t too tight from his dead-lifts.

The waves were gutless today, as the primary swell is locally generated (wind swell). Speed was essential to success.

The lip is in the crosshairs here. Not safe!

A bit obstructed from getting as high as possible, but he still gave the end-section a good crack.

Why not bust a wheelie?

John doesn’t usually make many mistakes while surfing, but here he’s showing the spectators what not to do. Nosedive!

A group of youngsters were probably a bit stir crazy from the cloudy weather and lackluster waves so they flocked en masse for a group bodysurf. They had the most fun of the people in the water this AM.

Good setup from John here. Let’s see what he has in store for us.

Excellent precision and timing thus far. Looking like it will be a good turn.

Mission complete. A little spray and a composed snap on a somewhat critical section (at least by today’s standards).

It was a dark and cloudy morning, but the temperature was nice on the beach. Not many faces around as I think most people either left or are recovering from the previous swell. Tomorrow is looking so-so again, but I’ll bring the best action I can capture. Hasta mañana.
RECENT REPORTS

Hey everyone! Welcome to Sunday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were finally a bit bigger today. There was a good window in the morning and in the evening. I took photos around 3:00pm and it was a decent window.

Feliz Monday or Lunes if you’re here in Lovely Latin America! The business of real estate, the most famous saying is. . . location. . . location. . . location!
