The crowd picked up a bit and hovered about 10 heads in the water today, and while the real gem sets were somewhat inconsistent there were a lot of fun waves in between and everyone in the water was getting in on the action.
Big John Springfield nabbed this jewel of a wave early on in his first session.
….pumped through the first section and laid down a nice little hack……
….then ended the ride with a nice rebound off the closeout section. Nice ride John! Time for a quiver change?
And here’s Mr. Oscar Espinoza doing what he do!
Gotta love the approach on this one!
Unfortunately, he couldn’t quite push through, but damn did that wave corner off nicely!
This guy, straight unleashing the guillotine on this poor wave! Sick one bro!
And, yes there were barrels to be had. There were several frames in this sequence where he was completely invisible.
The ladies were also getting in on the action as well. Fun factor sky high today, folks!
Speaking of barrels, Oscar, got himself into great position for this one. Stall for it……
He’s in good position and needing to generate some speed as this one starts to run.
Several frames later after anyone watching would have gave up on him he comes flying out.
There were some sick little A-frames out there, and check out the dreamy conditions. Mateo sizing up the best backhand stall for the barrel.
