Somewhere in Nicaragua
Bienvenido de nuevo para una nueva semana! In otherwords, welcome back to another week and with this magnificent Monday brought us some really nice new swell! Unfortunately with it came some mixed up choppy wind blown wave from the low pressure system offshore. But there’s definitely some good size out there! Disfrutar ~
Aaaaaaand this is why there wasn’t a single person out when I went to shoot the report today.
Buuuuuuuut – licks for me, my amigo Jake came down to help give me some content and also some good size perspective as he’s a pretty good size dude! Ya buddy “Shaka”!!!
He definitely had to dodge a few bomb sets coming through as he paddled out.
Meanwhile, 3 or 4 of the restaurants are closed in Hacienda Iguana’s, obviously the beach club is under massive renovation and construction. But it’s a good time to do so.
I couldn’t figure out what this lone boat was doing out there in the lineup? Perhaps the surfer who maybe hired it flaked out since the waves looked way too windy and the paddle out, unless you timed it right would and you a proper licking. Who knows? They ended up chirping out and headed back to Gigante.
It was a warm one today, but luckily the breezes were nice and it was beautiful sunny day without any rain and the beach was completely empty and open for a nice beach walk.
Here’s a good example of a medium sized waves in one of the sets. Man, it’s too bad the conditions weren’t ON. Because with this swell energy, it would have been on fire!

I had to do a little persuading to get him to paddle out, but I think he had fun and here he is killing it on an otherwise gnarly looking funky, chunky, sicky, icky looking wave!
But…. when you have the whole lineup to yourself, that’s never a bad thing.
Some sections, like this actually made it look pretty inviting out there.
But trust me and Jake will tell you the same thing… it was a lot of work out there, for sure!

Ramp sections??? Hmmmm… There’s always something to look for out there! Always keep the imagination OPEN! I’m hoping tomorrow will maybe clean up enough to get some people out of the casa’s and out there in the juicy waves while we have them! C ya’ll tomorrow. Yewwwwww ~
