Somewhere in Nicaragua
What’s up everyone? CarloCaliente here with our report from a new spot up north, Tubitos. We had our shark watchers on patrol today. Manuel pulled this guy from the lineup and we decided all was clear when the little fella was ID’d as a Nurse shark – mouth too small to do any real damage.
Here’s a shot of the lineup at Tubitos, classic low tibe beachbreak barrels. Traveling ripper from Oz, Dieon was taking off deep, busting airs, and putting on a veritable surf clinic. Here he is maxing and relaxing in the pocket.
El jefe gordo, Don Pancho, was dropping in late and practicing his patented crouching-tiger-hidden-grimace backside attack and getting frequently piped in the process.
For our parting shot today I leave you with one of barrel fiend and diehard Ortega supporter Marc Brown. Noone dailed this wave more than Brown. We shot so many of him in the barrel, this was the only one where he wasn’t completely hidden by the lip.
Hi, this is Roberto with the surf report for today. We have solid over head on sets out here at Maderas and the wind is offshore. We have many surfos out there and many chicks on the beach. Check it out.

Happy Tuesday, We’re happy to see the first signs of the new swell. It takes a while for the sets to come and it does have some wobble with the higher tide. But people are out taking advantage of surf. @tonyzphotos reporting.
