With the light offshore and the small swell hitting right now, Santana turns into a very playful wave.
A-frames breaking up and down the coast, with smooth rolling waves both ways.
The color of the water was really nice, and with the sun hitting from behind it made it look even better.
Plenty of shared peaks today.
If you didn’t know, Santana works perfect during off season, maybe it’s not the big barrels that most want, but it definitely will stay really good for the next few months.
Look at those colors… and the shape… and that offshore breeze!
Every few waves you could see a small barrel coming through.
It just a matter of positioning yourself in the right place to be able to get in there.
After those short barrels usually the wave slows down, giving you enough time for a nice carve.
I’ll keep an eye at Santana for the next few months so you all can see how nice it gets during the off season. Cheers!
RECENT REPORTS
Welcome to 2025 everyone! Happy New Year! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. I basically pulled an all-nighter and woke up early to surf after the late night fiesta. The lineup was empty even at 8:00am and the waves were fun. I surfed then took photos.
