If the right out the back shown in the opening image didn’t float your boat, then perhaps this double-up left on the inside would? Barrels were abundant this morning.
John had quite the session this morning. You’ll get to see some of his finer moments later in the report.
Jeison blasted the lip a few good times this morning as well.
Lift-off!
We’ll start off with the lesser of John’s two barrels, but it certainly wasn’t a bad tube.
Some of the waves had chandelier sections today. John did a good job staying tight to the wave face so that he could make the exit.
And he’s out!
Now for John’s number one ride of the morning.
Into the cavern he goes…
He got deep in this left drainer. He combo’d me today!
He was in there for a good four seconds plus. I had to hold the shutter button for a while before it was all said and done.
This was a 10 pointer by my standards today.
The last section. He can’t afford to make any little mistakes here.
Hohoho, he’s not just avoiding mistakes, but adding a few extra style points to the finale section.
Mission complete. Nice one brother. I’ll be happy if I can get one comparable to this tomorrow.
Yep, he was happy with that one. Flying out the back.
Nacho gets to close out today’s report with a quick little barrel. He had to hit the breaks hard on this one.
Nacho was fully covered for a second.
Nacho made the exit on his too. John and Nacho were just splitting peaks out there.
Nacho’s got the pizza protein gains haha! Eating pizza and getting barreled seems like a good day in my eyes. This concludes Saturday’s report. Tony Z returns tomorrow. Hopefully the waves surprise to the upside again!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. I saw the waves turn on and off about 7 separate times today. The conditions were in constant flux. It just so happened to be that the best window of the day was when I took pictures around 1:00pm.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Ooo-la-laaa! Tasty Thursday surf report coming your way from Colorados. It looked smaller today, but when I paddled out after shooting I realized it was still solid. The wind was definitely more favorable today relative to the past few days.
Welcome Wednesday surf fans! Well, we’re into the second day of November and I’m starting to think October and November had a secret meeting that I wasn’t invited to, where they decided to swap weather days between each other! Haha – joking aside, I got to the beach late late morning, more like almost noon..
