Got down around midday just a little before the high tide and I saw Joe paddling like mad to get into this nugget.
Nice one Joe! Them offshores really make this wave a little tricky to get into… and we’re not even in our windy season yet.
Bill and Tyler making their way to the playa, local style. Barefoot and hoofing it.
The shore pound was getting a little sketchy so navigating it getting in was well worth the timing.
Perfect A-frame lefts and rights at the spot today.
I looked and it seemed the same thing was happening down south.
Ohhh, but that’s a lot of heads. I think I’ll stay right where I’m at thank you!
Tola Todd was out there on his giant Log killing the long walled rights.
Today was a great day for any board really. Long board, short board, fish, you name it.
This is my buddy Bobbie visiting from Panama. He was one of the many people who helped in facilitating (through another friend here Tony Z) getting a bunch of the water filters (over 300 to be exact) here from Panama after Tropical Storm Nate. He does a lot of good things for people and you can check out what he does here at his website : https://disthudson.com He distributes really cool solar powered lights, water filters and bug repellants to name a few. Hit him up if you are ever in need of these things! Oh and he RIPS!
Was stoked to see Uncle Bill make it out for todays surfing fun. What’da say… Boat trip soon, amigo???
Tyler had the in-betweener board out there and it looked like it was working like pure magic!
We had a lot of the PD crew out there today, and Rob is pretty much a staple out here. Here he is pulling a nice cutback while getting a break from daddy duties of his two twin girls. Rip it up papa!
Speaking of dads, Todd’s a daddy a few times over and all his kids are beautiful, just like the way he cruises on his LB!
Cross stepping to the inside bowl.
Ok, this is the same wave, but the inside on high tide is where you kinda want your longboard to magically turn into a shortboard real quick! Todd navigates the inside backwash suck up off the beach. Stylie there Señor G!
I met Martin and his girlfriend today when they were about to paddle out. Great couple. I was even more stoked to hear that they bought some land here and we’ll be neighbors. Always a good thing when you meet nice people who want to call this place home too!
The weather was killer! Warm enough though to were you wanted to take a dip in the ocean to cool off. But keep an eye on that shore pound! I think these guys spot something a little further out…?
Not too far out. That’s Bobby again, pulling a crazy off the lip right on the inside section, which pretty much comes up on dry sand. He stuck it too!!
Buttery turns on buttery waves, how do you like your Saturday lunch special?
Ahhhh.. looks like 2/3 of the Springfield clan have shown up to join in the fun. That or they saw the crowd down the beach and said… “the heck with that!”
Dan didn’t waist any time… he paddled out and was already catching waves even before John. GO DAN!!!!!
Same wave, well not same wave, but same spot he’s surfing but different angle. Looks like you have the eye of the tiger there buddy!
John always so smooth with his turns. Making it look effortless.
As the tide was about peaking, there were some waves that were coming in well in the head high or a little bigger on some sets.
BC says, it was a good day!
There you have it folks! It was indeed a great day! Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to having hopefully more surfing goods for you tomorrow. Enjoy your evening and we’ll see ya back for more mañana! Chao ~
