Somewhere in Nicaragua

John was kind enough to take some photos of Rowan, Lance, and me today while we were out surfing.

Lance digging deep on this backside bottom turn. That lip could be quivering in fear!

Rowan may have been the only surfer in the water finding head high waves today 🙂

The rights were walling up nicely for Rowan. They gave him open race-tracks to skate across.

Although the waves weren’t firing, the offshore wind and nice peaks made for fun conditions. It was smiles all around.

The rights dominated the lineup today. They just kept bending all the way in on the sandbar.

To close out today’s report, we’ve got Rowan on one of the longer rides of the day.

I’m liking Rowan’s form here. He’s got his eyes down the line and has his trailing arm bent, ready to crank his right elbow back during his bottom turn.

He’s got some pressure on the toes, back foot, and is gradually pulling that back elbow back. A nice shallow bottom turn.

The wave got flat for a brief moment in the middle of the ride, but Rowan saw another speedy section on the other side of the soft section. He took a couple of high line pumps to shoot across into the more critical inside section.

Oh hoh! Lookey there! An elusive barrel. We gotta tuck-in tight next time Rowan 🙂

The lip pitched pretty far out, so I think he could’ve fit in there. Next on the list for Rowan getting tubed!

The sun wasn’t beaming too bright just yet, so it made for a cool and refreshing surf session this morning. It was a day of playful waves! Tomorrow’s forecast is looking near identical, so if you liked what you saw today then check back in mañana for more.
