Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hi everybody, this is Miguel bringing you all the action for this Wednesday surf report. Today we went to the beach in the morning, we had a few people out there having good time. The swell actually came up a bit from yesterday and was a consistent head high with overhead sets with great form. We definitely had some spots firing today! Check it out.
I tell you who was out ripping today – It was NSR’s very own DLite McMahon. He was flying all over the place putting on a virtual clinic for the kiddies. Not that many men in their 40’s still rip this hard!
Mariel just got back from vacation an has been surfing really well. Today she was catching some good waves. Here she is on a nice right hander
We also had Mariel’s boyfriend Marc out today, getting some waves at Machete pt. Look at him dropping in this small but fun left hander.
Did we mention that DLite was RIPPING today! Caaaaamon Dewey Milkshake!
Here is Andrew “El Capitan Café” grabbing a nice long left. Andrew was stoked to score some good surf today.
Here we have Jonathan from Venezuela, racing down the line under the umbrella. Jonathan was sitting way down by the rocks and picking off all the good rights by himself.
This is Beer, riding one of the better waves that we had today. This is his second day surfing after taking two weeks off.
On this shot we have Carlos “Caliente” and Heather “La hace Quesos” They are trying to get the same waves and are difficult taking because same time them happen some accident.
Pancho Sanchez made it out today too and was trying out his new backside snap. He brought it back with him from the US and has been using it for the last couple of days. What do you think? The offshore wind sure makes the spray look good!
I’m telling you, it was going off today. It was a solid 8 or 9 on the fun scale. Look at this nug coming in with no takers!
There really weren’t that many locals out today but Chulin was there and he was killing it. If you’ve ever surfed with Chulin, you know he gets his share of waves. He’s been improving a lot lately too. Here is a cool sequence of him…almost landing a sick airshow!

After Chulin’s airshow went off, the rest of the crowd got inspired. This is Carlos Caliente, about to blast of on this little insider.
Pancho said “Hey, I can bust airs too!”
Even DLite took time out from ripping and launched a few.
DLite again, I said he “launched a few”…I never said he landed them!
Man, these killer little nugs kept coming in. We were definitely stoked to finally get some good waves in November. The forecast is holding for the rest of the week so be sure to check back with us!
Oh, and I almost forgot…DLite was ripping!

Hey everyone! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. There was a window early today and right at sunset. At mid-day when I took pictures the wind kicked up making for better turn sections than tubes. Still a few if you knew where to look.

A day after the fishing tournament we made it out again to Maderas to catch some small but fun waves. It’s running about knee to chest high on sets, the wind offshore and the water is chilly. Check it out.
Pancho here with the Saturday afternoon surf report for Maderas Beach. Today we’ve got small but fun waves, clear water and offshore winds. Hot Carl and I used the opportunity to go spearfishing and we scored this 20 lb Roosterfish!
