Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, November 16, 2008

The NSR Photographers were out and about today taking lots of killer surf shots.  Click on the image above to find out where and see if we got any photos of you!

Hi and thanks for joining us to the Sunday surf report.  We are “Lucha Libre and Come Pan” bringing you the action from Playa Maderas.  It was supposed that we were going to have some swell in the water and we did but it was very inconsistent.  It was running about chest to head high with some sporadic over head sets and the wind was offshore.  Check it out.

Today we had a bunch of international surfers that decided to score a couple of waves.  The beach was completely packed with more than twenty guys out but everybody was mellow out there.  Check out this guy hand dragging on this right and hoping to get barrel soon.

There were a couple of good lefts at Machete Pt to be had as well and the Italian guys were taking advantage over there.  This is “El Italiano Loco” hoping to make it through that section and get his bald head into the pipe.

Meanwhile, Kelly “El Mechudo” Slatter was shredding up all over the place.  By the way, he’s thinking to blow this picture up and post it on one of the walls of his house.  He’s going to get this photo through NSR Surf Shots so everybody that was at Maderas today should check this site because you might have the photo of your trip.

Here is a shot of an unknown rider that was having so much fun out there at Machete Pt.  He really scored a few good ones.  Remember that you can purchase prints or digital downloads on NSR Surf Shots, just click on any of the picture from today’s surf report.

There were not many locals out there in the lineup but Jose “El Corage” Charlotte paddled out and caught a few good lefts.  Here he is taking off on one of the cleaner sets of the day.

Later on, back up north Pancho Sanchez was enjoying his last day in Nicaragua.  He only took a couple of pictures just to let you know how it was because he really wanted to get some surf.  The waves should be fun tomorrow so check back with us.
