John Gillem, showing perfectly how fun it was around 4:30pm today.
When the waves are small here, everybody surfs.
John is like a big grom. Except he has way more experience on his trusty firewire long board than any pre-pubescent teen could dream of having. That and he surfs about 3 session per day. Ya, I’d say he’s like a big grom!!!
Semi mysto barrel rider of the day???
This guy was trying to be my secondary MBROD (Mystery barrel rider of the day) he didn’t quite et the cover up, but he got some nice turns in!
There were a lot of people riding non-traditional type shortboard out there; and for good reason, when it’s small, it’s always fun to mix it up with your quiver.
We had a pretty good ocean clean up party going on too up at the PD’s reef.
There were also some fun waves to be had that way as well.
A couple ladies come down to play too.
This chica was putting on a little long board clinic for the chicos!
Señor G-man always showing off his timeless LB skills. I’m sure glad I won’t have to complete against him in the upcoming annual Chompipe Surf Contest!
Looks like Andrew Moyles is getting ready to be in the shortboard division.
Half way through November and it’s been a pretty impressive month so far. The weather has been stellar, the waves have still been coming. What else could one ask for….???
