Got down to the beach around 8am to find a pretty good mixed combo of swell in the water which looked like a pretty short interval too because the waves were stacking right on in. One right after the other.
John Springfield, always making it look so casual.
I met Richard (here) this morning, after he got out of the water on this last wave of his. He was super psyched when I showed him the sequence.
I’d say majority of the people out surfing today were mostly the local crew. Koji’s been stepping up his rail game.
And so has his kid brother Yuji.
Talk about rail game….. WHAT UP, BIG JOHN MARTIN???? Sick bottom turn buddy!!!
This is Josh, him and John (in the previous photo) have been going out and doing some spearfishing together the last few days while the surf was pretty small.
Looks like they can take a little break from diving now that the waves are back up!
Johnny Gilem, always styling on his longboard, nabbing some of the best set waves of the day.
Although this isn’t a barrel shot here, I can however honestly say that Buzzy has most likely logged (pun intended) the most hours here under the hood (In other words – been shacked, tubed, pitied) the most on a Longboard.
This dudes definitely a double threat guy! Haha!! As you can see he kills in in the rail work.
And his barrel work is equally as good! Yeah Grant!!
Fernando isn’t quite a local here (Yet), but with the time he’s been putting in here, he’s getting closer and closer.
All he needs to do is make this place 100% permanent. I think you’re on the right path amigo!!
Not sure who this hombre is, but I’m almost certain he’s absolutely stoked to be here in November.
Who has the best micro barrel game… good question. I do know that Carlos here has the best barrel game in any size here, hands down.
I’m always so happy to see Carlos doing HUGE A$$ turns like this. There are a lot of young guns following him closely with their barrel game and may even catch up, possibly even surpass the barrel riding status; however, good rail work always shows a surfers raw strength, finesse, and their true core power.
Alrighty then, well that wraps up our Tuesday surf report. Looks like this swell will (hopefully) be around as forecast for the next few days. I hope to see you out there! Yewwww ~
