This guy didn’t care about the size, just compare the size of the spray with the size of the wave’s shoulder… he was ripping every tiny corner of each wave.
Our NSR guest and friend Josh Cabana was also ripping this morning. He’s been coming on Surf trips with his buddies for the last decade or so. This time he brought his family with him and, in order to convince his wife and kids that Nicaragua is awesome they are staying in one of our family-friendly super comfortable houses inside Rancho Santana. Happy Wife, Happy Life… and more waves for him!
As I said before, there were A-frame peaks everywhere… first peak is starting to show again, finally!
Another little A-frame on the northern side of the beach… and no one around.
Some of the sets were around chest high, it was just a matter of being on the right spot like this guy, bottom-turning right below the pocket.
Same wave three turns later.
Don’t get confuse with the size, here at Santana the waves are almost always strong enough to send salt water up your nose on every wipeout.
Look at how low the tide was, the reef looks more like a cliff.
Guest what… Mike was out! He told me that he prefers to wake up super early to surf by himself in no so great conditions, than wait all day to surf at a better tide with a bunch of people.
Josh (trying to) getting some cover on that little corner.
He is stocked to be back, surfing two or three sessions every day while his family is having a great time too.
Tiny wave, big spray… for must of us that formula is wrong but this guy make it seem easy.
He even managed to get a full body barrel! It closed on him but stayed inside for a little bit.
Looks like the next few days is going to stay like this, small but always fun. Thanks for checking the surf report every day… hopefully all of you will appear in one of them one day. Saludos!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Saturday morning’s surf report from Panga Drops. The waves were very small today, but the morning window was favorable with the tide. Good for cruisin’!
