November 20th and the livin’ is easy…. haaaa maybe for those who like to peep from the beach. However, for those who are preparing to go to battle mañana, like this poor guy in the front of the wave…. there are going to be a lot of some serious deep duck diving and paddling back out going on!
Josh making his way, waaaaaaay over to “No-Man’s”Land over in the end section of the river mouth rights. I am only hoping these things tomorrow light up with all that morning glory sunlight that this place is known for facing Gigante in the AM!
The only early evening / pre-dusk crew the were out when I rolled up. Not a single person was sitting at any other peek! That’s because this was the SPOT!
“Carlitos Caliente” certainly pinching himself right here in this moment saying to himself. . . .
Is this really November? But in all his time & years spent here prospecting for the perfect wave on the planet, I am 100% sure he’s seen even more crazier things. Today and tomorrow will definitely go down in the record books though.
One his best amigos in the neighborhood and heavy water surf companions, Gray out there shining like he always does any time this place lights up. Even when it’s a late season swell like this!
Funny to think I have an almost identical shot of Carlos (but with his signature Afro at the time) padding and dropping into a wave JUST LIKE THIS almost a decade and a half ago. Ironic how time flies by. . .
But the surfing is or I should say the waves have always been there and the same, and to think it’s been that way for hundreds of million’s of years before a species like us decided to come along and ride these majestic things that the ocean creates!
Gray, getting ready for what I hear will most likely be an EPIC day at the outer reef tomorrow!
The rights were a bit fast and walled, but maybe tomorrow on the high tide, the derechos will completely on FIRE!
Bryan aka “Pancho” McMandon, this BUDS for YOU!!!!!!! Wish you could be here brother!!!
The beach club summed up in one photo (w/some of the heavy water chargers that were out there earlier, soaking in some of that last days rays). Hope you guys get all rested up and ready for tomorrows Magic November swell!!!
Here’s exactly what I am hoping is on fire tomorrow morning!
If not, the lefts are a great back up, at least for the morning session.
Be ready to see a lot of this mañana.
And of course a ton of “smiles for miles”! You have no idea how much……..errrrrrrr or rather, how special a good swell means to each and every surfer!
To capture the perfect waves is one thing, but to capture two beauties both at the same time, one would say the timing was impecable. Guess I got lucky today with this completely unstaged photo of mi novia,Claudia Melendez&Kai Delorenzopaddling into a bomb in the background.Remember, even if you didn’t make the highlights you can always look at the link here for all theDaily Surf Shotsfrom each day, there might be a good chance you’re in there!AND don’t forget to follow us and always check out our current happenings on our daily Instagram stories hereNSRor my photography hereNica Surf Shots
RECENT REPORTS
Hi everyone! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The swell is probably slightly larger today, but it is also much windier.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
We made it to the weekend! It is Saturday and we got some beautiful weather after a little rainy evening last night. The surf has decreased in size a bit but there were still some super fun waves at low tide this morning. Come check it out!
