Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, November 20, 2025
9:54 pm
Roy caught the most of waves of all the surfers in the water this morning. He is no stranger to surfing Pangas, so it makes sense.

It looked like he was riding a fish-shape, which was the right decision for today's waves. Some of the rights he found had a bit of a wall, so Roy was able to compress and extend to work his way down the line with speed.

This guy knew to hug the whitewater! Unless it's a high-quality wave, then you always need to be ready to cutback at the middle peak of Pangas. Once you get out into the flats you're doomed.

The rights usually bowl up much better than the lefts at the middle peak. Roy defying conventional reasoning and back-dooring this right. He made it around the section and got a decent ride. The wall is your friend at middle peak. You want some line and slope to work with.

Today was one of the smallest days of surf that I've seen in a while. But middle-peak Pangas still offers up shoulder-high sets at low-tide.

Maybe even a few rare head-high sets! We should be grateful for the Pangas swell "magnifier" effect.

A couple of lefts for the goofy-footers! The paddle outs are usually easier after going left as opposed to right. The lefts break into somewhat of a channel, at least when it is small.

Shortboarding middle-peak is challenging. Especially when it is small. You've really gotta be on the lookout for sets and move quickly to position yourself once you see one.

This guy knew the program though! Hug the whitewater. Especially on shortboards. Getting out in the flats will kill your speed on small boards.

The surfer managed to squeeze in a second cutback further inside because he stayed in the pocket after the drop. Smart surfing.

PANGA DROPS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Thursday evening’s surf report from Panga Drops. The swell height and interval were both notably higher today. So much so that most of the action was at the middle-peak, with less happening at the sandbars. Asher with a stylish entry on an outside right bomb.
