We had the semi-finals today and everybody was trying to get a good place in the Central American Surf contest at Playa Madera’s. This is our very good friend Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro looking good at his home break and ripping on this little nugget.
This kid looked like a gringo but I guess he was a local from somewhere. Maybe his dad was a gringo surfer…anyway, he was ripping and busted some sick airs today during his heats.
On this shot we have our very good friend Rex “La Bestia” Calderon about to paddle out for his heat. As Nicaragua’s number 1 surfer, Rex has a lot of pressure on him to do well at his home break.

As it turns out, Rex was ripping all day and represented with a first place in the open division! Congrat’s Rex! Nicaragua is proud of you. Here he is celebrating his triumph with all his friends of San Juan Del Sur. Good job dude!
Here we have Lisbet Bindas she was how wind the first place in category of woman. Congratulation.
This is our friend Jose “El Corage” Hernandez celebrating his triumph after the long and tired competition. Corage took home 1st place in longboard and got his very own donkey head to take home.
Rex was working very hard all day because we had a lof of people of different country trying to win the first place on this Central American Surf Contests but finally Rex was how win the first place in this Contest. Congratulation dude!
On the last shot of the day we have the “behind-the-scenes-crew” posing for the NSR camera. This event would not have been possible without their help.
