Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hola amigos, the waves were still pretty small today but El Codo Lopez drove just a few minutes and found some killer waves. This place usually picks up more size and that’s why we moved up a little bit. Chest to shoulder high sets were coming in on the bigger sets, the winds were nice offshore and the water was great. Just take a look and think about how fun it was.
Last year we had a succesful christmas donation campain and this year we are expecting that NSR audience support us again to make this a reality. Countdown to Christmas is on!. For the last 3 years, NSR has helped raise enough money to provide Christmas gifts and meals to over 400 people in 3 different communities in the southern region of Nicaragua. Lefts and rights were coming in and the lineup was not crowded at all. Actually we only had one small crew that had the lineup all to themself on their big pangas.
El Codo Lopez snapped some killer shots of these big boys, as you can see. Check out this one deep in the flats, trying to turn that thing to make it over the shoulder.
This guy was the only one on a shortboard out there and he was ripping all over the place. Sick frontside hack!
It looks like El Codo Lopez has been listening some advices. Changing angles and distances!
A few girls were out and they were having a blast. Here is caught this one riding a nice little nugget.
But they also had to pay some taxes. Just about to get a bit pounded!
The waves were so nice and clean that it was pretty easy to ride a huge SUP. This guy rented one from our surf shop in Hacienda Iguana and he loved it. We have a couple SUPs available if you want to get one just stop by.
