Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, November 30, 2022

Brian Scott

Hola Wednesday amigos! Was a bit dismal and gray out there today, but sometimes that big ol’ sky can be your best friend, especially when you’re a photographer and the “nubes” clouds, act like a giant soft box, plus I’m sure the surfers out there too appreciate the unnecessary need for super strong sun protection. Waves were in the waist high range with nice offshores and luckily with all the cloud cover, it never rained. It was a Plus + Day for surfing!

The crowds however have certainly died down, especially right after we had those two pretty epic end of the month of November swells.

Those that are left are the regular locals and a few tourists and what not. John here, stoked to be surfing as apposed to be giving a lesson, but a little bit of coin in your pocket never hurts!

Here’s a pretty good little summery if todays waves had to be described without words but in a single photo.

There were left’s and rights, but I think the lefts won in favor today. Peter mid drop in and always happy to see the lineup this empty!!!

The exact sentiment goes for Big J here. When he’s not traveling all over Indo and other sub tropical many many hours to get to surf spots, this is his real second home.

Brian Scott

Haha but still always fun(ny) to see people party waving it up when there’s maybe only 6 people out. I think the other 3 people were taking the left.

This amigo, (I forgot to catch his name) was here back in October and decided to come back down for a few reasons). 1. It’s always crowded in San Diego, or anywhere in CA for that matter. 2. October was actually a pretty stellar month for surf, which is a rarity… and 3. Por que no??? (why not?) who doesn’t love surfing in super tropical water uncrowded waves?

This last shot……errrrr or I should say for sure, “Wave of the Day” went to my man, Mr. Chris M. It’s only one frame from the sequence, but he traveled about as far as maybe half of the distance from Charlie Uno to Charlie Dos in this green machine runner! (if you know what charlie uno and charlie dos is, then you’ve definitely put in your time here!) :)

Peter King. No not that guy who once was up there with the world tour guys in the 90’s and now shoots a ton of video content (anything you see surfing, during the WSL events, a lot of it will be from Peter King - from Hawai’i) but this here is our own personal Peter “The Real King” - the king of Haciedna Iguana. You can’t the POTHI unless you can throw a shaka harder than good ol’ Mr P! Dale pues amigos ~
