I’ll give you a little spoiler alert…. there were only two dudes out and they’re both brothers. Can you guess who it is just by his pulled back hack attack?
By the looks of it, and count of decks (that would be surfboard decks) on board, there would have been at least another 5 or 6 more guys to share the lineup with. PC is always a go to spot to check, especially when you’re not so privileged or fortunate to actually stay inside the gates here. Having a boat is maybe the second best thing.
However living here, or in Koji’s case, living about a 2 min walk to the beach from his front doorstep, he get’s to save hundreds of dollars on boat trips each year!
Well, so then you might say, but he doesn’t have Playgrounds, and Lances and Popoyo to go surf, but in fact he does. His mom has a 4X4 beast of a land cruiser, but I don’t think he likes leaving this wave anyways to go surf anywhere else. It’d be like leaving pipe to go surf Waikiki. It’s a fun little day trip, but why leave a good wave when it’s right in your backyard.
I don’t think the waves look that good from the back, especially when it’s this small. But in all fairness, maybe these guys jammed over to another break that was firing and they scored the whole rest of the day?
Today kinda reminded me a little bit like T street, in San Clemente.
The groms may have had a bit to do with that too!
Wonder how Yuji & Koji felt about being out there sharing waves all to themselves the entire session….. zoom in on that smile and there’s your answer!
I know I said it was small today, but dang doesn’t that look pretty freaking fun????
Sick little bottom turns, top turns, pocket snaps backs, mini floaters, I think the only downside to todays surf is that you’d be hard pressed to find even a mini nugget barrel. BUT hey….. nobody said surfing is guaranteed perfection every session.
Just enough fun to stoke you out for the day and plenty enough waves to share with your bro to be reminded why this place is so rad!
All these little groms are missing now is to be able to hit up “Pedro’s Tacos” afterwards for some bean n’ cheese burritos and this could have been a complete ALL TIME T-Street super grom session!!!!
Bonus points for any of you who even know or have even been to “Pedro’s Tacos” after a super fun surf sesh in San Clemente. If not, be sure to put it on your bucket list! Buenas tardes ~
