Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, December 05, 2008

Hi everyone, we are Lucha and Come Pan bringing you the action for the Friday surf report.  Today we had a couple of new students who decided to take some surf lesson with the NSR Surf School.  They were super stoked because they stand up very quickly and were able to score some fun rides.  Our very own D-lite was taking care of them and was having such a good time.

The NSR Surf School is proud to post this photo of Sasha.  He’s only 7 years old and today he paddled out and caught a few good ones.  Check him out taking a sweet wave.

Sasha’s father was doing his thing as well.  Here he is caught on this shot dropping in a nice wave.  Good job Igor.

Later on, we drove “El Burro” to Playa Maderas.  There were a couple of fun sets that came through but it was pretty inconsistent.  It was waist high on sets, the winds were offshore and the water was super nice.

Our very own Pancho Sanchez just got back in town and the first thing he wanted to do was to “Get Wet”.  The waves were pretty small so it was a good day to take the big pangas out.  Here he is trying to do a hang five

Our buddy Carlos Caliente was trying to touch the nose with his belly but every time he tried to do it he went diving.  Here is a shot of him riding a nice left

The lineup was pretty mellow this afternoon but there were not many waves to be had.  Here is Tom “El Viejo Pelon” Eberly watching how Gustavo get shack.  After this wave he came in and said:  I want to get some respect down here guys.

The ladies on the beach were having so much fun playing some games and stretching out for a while.  We don’t know what that guy is looking up exactly but he was enjoying it too.

Gerardito “La Polita” Herrera was one of the few locals that were out.  He was practicing some aerial moves all over the place.  Check him out with his new version of SuperMan.

Alright folks, nothing better like a sweet sunset to finish the day.  The waves are supposed to be about the same size tomorrow so you have to be sure to get your longboard ready and paddle out.
