The way these winds work is all the upwelling of the deeper colder water down below which in turn causes the the surface water to drop (anywhere) from 5-7 or maybe 8 degrees, but that comes usually right around Jan – March.
As you can visually see, this hombre’s feeling the nice Nica warmth and even giving his amigos passing back out a little show at the same time!
Grant putting his twiny to the speed test to get around this crumbly section.
The winds were whirling a bit and they certainly weren’t blowing offshore, at least while I was down there… which was making for some funky sideshow wind chop on the surface.
Now and then, you’d see something like this… and oh does it look ever sooooo inviting!
AND THEN, I saw a couple of these roll through. I haven’t even looked at a swell forecast model for some time now, as for me personally I pretty much base my shooting times this time of year solely around the tides. However, if there’s new swell… then lucky US!!!
Or lucky this guy! He was getting in on some of those way down at the road river mouth occasional bigger sets like this one here.
I’m sticking to my guns firm my beautiful lady! I’m trying to shoot your sister break PC until after New Years. It’s just something I’m trying to do (personally). However, mother ocean will make the final decision. Lets just hope the beach break can hold on for just a few more weeks!

FROM THE ARCHIVES
Happy Sunday ya’ll!!!! Was another beautiful afternoon in the southern region of Nicaragua. Perfect conditions and lighting for the PM session. Not too big and still not much of swell in the water, but perfect opportunity to get wet and catch a few fun ones right before the sunset!
