Cesar is a Panga Drops master. A smooth bottom turn on this righty.
I think Cesar exclusively surfs fish-like boards at Pangas. I’m not being a critic, I think it’s a good idea. He’s putting the extra float and speed to work with a big roundhouse here.
He didn’t leave meat on the bone. Roundhouse after roundhouse all the way to the inside.
Hollow split-peaker rifling through in from of Costa Mar. No surfers were at this peak, but rightly so as it was rather inconsistent.
Ooohhh! Cesar found one of the few main peak bombas out there. Yeehaa!
Now we start to see Grant in action at his favorite peak in Iguana, French Fries.
Oooh almost a little barrel for G-rant here.
Grant representing one of the local shapers in the area, Giezi Amador – GA surfboards.
The wind would puff then back off erratically throughout the day. Grant going to battle with the wind here with during this cutback.
Ah yes! The inside racey section we all love at French Fries. You can get some serious speed going once this section lines up.
Nami closing out his surf session with a smooth end-section floater. If you look closely you’ll see he’s leash-less. Total Control 😀
Grant’s frontside carve may be the sharpest move in his arsenal. Check out how his outside fin is visible and out of the water. That brings a new meaning to “getting on rail”.
Since Kai DeLorenzo has moved here, this peak has been named “French Fries”, but Grant dominated this wave before Kai moved here. I think there was even a period of time where I called it Grant’s peak.
You may remember MOG from disaster relief efforts in our area in the past years. The organization also runs successful Prenatal and Lactation programs for women in our area. They are currently raising funds and requesting donations for the Christmas event taking place on December 15th. If you would like to donate locally, items can be dropped at the NSR office. Financial donations are also appreciated. Happy Holidays!
Ok amigos, that wraps up Saturday’s action at Pangas. Cesar and Grant put on a good show and had the whole lineup to themselves! Mr. Tony Z returns to the lens tomorrow, so be sure to stop-in for his Sunday report! The forecast has it being about the same size and less wind (hopefully).
RECENT REPORTS
