Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hola primos and welcome back to NSR’s surf report with Parker! The new swell gave us a taste of what’s to (hopefully) come this weekend. Keep scrolling down!
The waves were a fun consistent chest high and some of the sets were about shoulder high. Even if it’s a smaller size, hold on tight for the drop!
The lower tides produce hollow sections so this unknown rider is trying to test his luck. It’s usually a smaller barrel so make sure you have the correct form!
Before we get too deep, check out this music video! Jef Joslin, Jarrod Spurrier, John Selfridge, and Justice Joslin made a killer clip while staying in Casa Cantamar. There were always jamming, emitting good vibes, and showing off some luscious flow. Disclaimer: the next guests in Cantamar will be required to make another music video…
Also, meet Santa Marta, a small village 1 mile outside of the Iguana complex. Later today, Pastor Miguel, NSR, and I will have another meeting to discuss community service ideas. If all goes to plan, we are hoping to hook them up with long term, self-sustaining project that increases their quality of life. Stay tuned for more details to come!

Leah was out there representing for the ladies! She was fearless and gobbling up every wave she could find.
Yes, as you might be suspecting, the line ups were empty this morning. Inside waves were still stomach high and draining but I think Open Mic Night claimed a few vicitims yesterday…
However, Johnny made it out at sunrise for the third day in a row. He’s spending some time here to support Iguana Surf Rentals and Scoops and Spokes so give him a big welcome when you meet him. Considering the magical powers of his full beard, he will be ripping in no time!
This has been Johnny’s view every morning. In Nicaragua, we have breathtaking sunsets AND sunrises! Grab your coffee and your chair.
Bruno has also been getting after it too. When he’s not surfing, you can find him serving delicious breakfast burritos at Pili’s Kitchen at the Beach Club. If you want the best of both worlds, go surf with him and grab a fresh meal after!
Be careful surfing this wave because sneaky outside sets will catch you off guard. You’ll get tossed around and miss the epic wave!!!
