The behind the peak fade was a wise decision from this surfer. Taking off behind the peak sets you up for a steeper part of the wave face during your opening turn at Pangas.

I missed the first part of this guy's smooth roundhouse cutback, but caught the end of his rebound off the whitewater. The roundhouse is a functional move that helps you stay in the pocket.

Jeff flowing through a smooth rounded out carve. He is no stranger to Pangas, so he rarely gets too far out of the pocket. He knows the limits of the "speed zone" he can stay within while doing his turns.

He was smart enough to stay low and set his toe-side rail to hard across the wave. You have to, at least partially, go with the whitewater tapping you from behind. If too much is tapping the rail then you'll flip.
