Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, December 14, 2019

Brian Scott

Hey everyone, welcome to the Saturday surf report. It was a hot one down at the beach today and the waves were in the 2-3 foot range with light offshores and nice clear water.

Brian Scott

I must’ve checked the waves maybe 2 or 3 times before I finally pulled the trigger and deiced to shoot right around midday. There weren’t many people out, but it looked pretty fun, so I said what the heck.

Brian Scott

Deven certainly was having a blast! check out his double hand drag stall on this clean little Waikiki looking right.

Brian Scott

Arrrrrrrmondo, not opting for the tabla today, but his hand line fishing equipo.

Brian Scott

Looks like everyone got the memo about the fishing today too!  Jaja

Back up at the Reeferrrr, style master DeeeeVennnn cruising, catching all the waves to himself.

Brian Scott

The beach definitely wasn’t working. But still a beautiful day out!

Brian Scott

Even this pequeño pescador.

Remember I said something about the water being clear… this explains all the good fishing today too!

Brian Scott

Hows that water color??? Nice turn hombre!

Brian Scott

Big John working on his rail game in some of the hardest surf to do so in. Flowing, nicely!

So, on a really cool side note for the day… Nica Heart Beat held a free CPR review at Casa Colorados today. Ventura County Lifeguard Christian Bennett was on hand to review CPR skills and introduce new lifesaving equipment NHB has brought down. They also had an AED simulated device so that everyone there could practice how to use one.

Although This was NOT a certificated lifesaving course. NHB was offering this opportunity to practice so that you would know what to do if someone (family member, child, client) were to need CPR (choking, drowning, cardiac arrest...) We do have one of the heaviest beach breaks in the region and all it takes is a second for someone to need some much needed assistance. GREAT BIG Thanks to Nica Heart Beat and especially Megan for her continued and passionate contribution to making our community a safer place to enjoy each day!

Nica Heartbeat - helping others learn to save lives ..... Here’s Megan, after a BIG wipeout on a 15 footer and da boys are coming to rescue her. (*ed note - this is only a reenactment and no surfers, locals, dogs, cats or goats were harmed in the making of this video)  ;)

Casa Colorados provided free coffee and there were raffle awards given to the dedicated people who showed up to better further their ocean safety knowledge. Here are the Boys who did awesome Oscar. Jeison. Marlon. Miguel. Benjamin Vladimir & Mikey
