The local commute to the surf here is pretty lax. Actually it’s Zero carbon footprint. The only foot print is of this dudes “pies” (pronounced pe-ehs in Spanish) in the sand.
Lowwwww tide nuggets from a sand crabs perspective.
What’s better than a long stroll out on the long flat sand bars watching the waves roll in, all while contemplating the best zone you’re eyeballing out in the lineup.
Seeing a nice majestic cliff in the background, still covered in lush greenery half way through December.
The head high inside bowl with all kinds of potential for anything… from great air sections, to backlit green fast barrels.
Of course the takeoff zone makes for even more potential once you connect into that inside bowl section.
To go or not to go, or to just take a gaze to see which is better, the lefts or the rights?
Roger, certainly would say either one here at this wave is ideal.
Phi Lu going for the mental floater of the day on a really massive section.
aaaaand yes, he made it too! Nice sweeping wrap around coming off that sick floater buddy!
This particular road leads to good things.
Cheater fives don’t get as much credit as its legendary bigger brother of a maneuver “hanging ten”. But I know this much… it’s popular on Cinco de Mayo!
My bother from another mother is finally back in town. Good to see you back on the tricycle Hermano.
Philip-O, bottom turning around a… well, you get the picture.
See, surfing is like riding a tricycle. Haaa!! Colin on his first wave back and moving pretty fast on his single fin.
This unknown chica laying her quick bottom turns on the rights, rightfully so.
The sun sets a bit quicker this time of year, so the evening session starts losing light around 5:30pm as opposed to after six.
But the doesn’t mean the flaring fades, necessarily. Raffael, lighting one up at dusk.
The colors that starting popping in the sky once the sun dipped past that horizon line made for some beautiful contrasting imagery.
Alberto fading with some epic gold and purple haze.
