Here is a little bit about CREA! Nicaragua is paradise, but it's also the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Education levels, especially in rural areas of the country, are alarmingly low. To put it in perspective, the average number of total years of schooling a rural Nicaraguan receives is 4.9 years. Yet despite a poorly equipped education sector, rural communities in Tola are now getting the educational support
The Nicaraguan Education Resource Center known in Spanish as CREA, is inspiring Nicaraguans to empower themselves and their communities by providing educational resources. Functioning in the rural communities where NSR is based, CREA is working with children and youth through its three main initiatives:Library Services, Educational Outreach, and Youth Development.
Help us give the gift of education this holiday season and join us in supporting CREA!
