Every holiday season, we try to support organizations doing good in the local area. This year, we chose CREA so here is a quick word about them... Nicaragua is paradise, but it's also the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Education levels, especially in rural areas of the country, are alarmingly low. To put it in perspective, the average number of total years of schooling a rural Nicaraguan receives is 4.9 years. Yet despite a poorly equipped education sector, rural communities in Tola are now getting the educational support.
