Same perspective from the “Intro” shot, but just showing the size difference if you caught a glimpse from yesterdays evening session/report. Len pictured here, pretty much surfing in his newly found favorite second home and backyard. We need more people like him and his awesomely cool family, which all surf. You know what they say…. “the family that surfs together….”!!!! 🙂
Scott, one of the very few opting for the short board out there today. Making it look easy with that still very full lunar high tide.
If I had my choice and time to go surf, I would have gone with everyone else’s decision with the longboard as well.
The whole point is to get or catch as many waves as you can (or wish too) I think the LB’s out there today certainly helped with everyone meeting their quota for the day.
Ahhhhhh. . . and then there were the “shredders” that came creeping out of the jungle, the ones whom need no liter size expectation or step up in volume. They’ll catch whatever, but that all comes with putting in a lot of water time.
Is this groomed enough for your eyes, or your surfing pleasure? It’s a shame Bruce Brown (legendary film maker of The Endless Summer movies – and personal friend of mine, RIP buddy!) Only knew that when he was filming Ollies point back in 1994, he was literally only just a couple hours away from this!
This could be Wing-nut, whom is also a friend of mine as well. But this is my newest buddy Len from Miami.
Len’s well traveled which which is why we get along so well. But I admire his lay low profile and keen sense for finding uncrowded waves, which is what he’s found by coming here to Nicaragua.
We were wrapping out today after he got out from his normal morning session about what it was like here during the pandemic. I could see the look in his eyes and the salivating boca with how much he wished he could have been stranded here during that time (in surfing terms) which was one of the most unique and once of a lifetime experiences if you were lucky enough to actually be “stranded” here in Nica-Land!
Even saw one wahini saffa girl out there going switch stance, or at least I hope that’s what she was doing since her leash rope is on her front foot? But Kudos and Awesome chica!!!! You’ve got some skillllzzzz!!!
Super light crowd this morning, as compared to the pretty hefty crowd last night. Which made for a pretty good sized playing field out there this AM.
Da boys about to go play with their little toys!
When I say play, I mean, doing things like this!!! Yeah Kev!!!!
