I will say, it was a very tranquillo day here in Tola. Not a lot of people out, but there were waves!
Only a hand full of people coming out to enjoy these small but really fun empty waves.
I mean, how often do you see this view at your local home break without a single person going for a wave like this?
It isn’t big by any means, but rest assured, the occasional sets were looking pretty nice.
Speaking of looking pretty nice, I think it’s safe to say that my amiga Stephania looks A LOT better behind my camera than I do!
It’s pretty phenomenal, but this week has seen a pretty consistent series of showers in the later afternoon everyday this week.
The bonus is, we get greener longer. The downside…. oh, I guess there isn’t really a downside, other than I always have to run for cover.
Extra extended wet-season, complete with dry season offshores.
Weird weather, definitely. Does this guy care… probably not.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what January is going to offer up, being that the weather and swells have been on a new pattern down here as of lately.
Pili say’s Hellz ya! & Rock on in this glorious beautiful wet late season weather!!! She definitely knows how to rock it, come rain for shine!
Take shelter, or keep on surfing is the real question.
This amigo says keep at it while the surf is still good!
Despite the little afternoon downpour, the waves were still tapering perfectly along our nicely groomed sand bars.
and if your cup of tea isn’t an afternoon drizzle sesh, you can always have the happy hour nachos drizzled with some amor from the beach bar!
Either way you choose, it always feels RIGHT!!!
A L R I G H T ! ! !
2 people out for the lefts and 2 people out for the rights; and a boat that’s headed somewhere unknown, let’s just hope he makes it home before night.
Ok mi gente. The countdown has begun! I’m already throwing down some ideas in my brain as to what to give you guys for these last couple days of the year…. I’ve got some ideas, but feel free to send in your comments on our FB @www.facebook.com/NicaraguaSurfReport/or Instagram @www.instagram.com/surfnsr/and let me know what you would like to see as we close down this year. I’m always open to hearing your thoughts!!! Buenas noches for now ~
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday evening’s surf report from Colorados. The swell was bigger and stronger today, but it was very slow between the sets. I think the lack of a secondary swell combined with the sandbars not being in perfect shape made for long waits.
