Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, December 30, 2009

The latest issue of Surfing Mag just came out with a cover shot of one of our most prized waves in Nicaragua.  Some of you may know it, some of you may not, but it IS as good as it looks (and as MEAN).  Because it breaks on a shallow, urchin covered reef, it takes care of itself.  Anyway, now that it's on the cover of Surfing Magazine, people are going to start asking about it.  On the right tide and swell, this zone has a couple of other waves too and is definitely worth checking out.  If you are interested in going, shoot us an email - as usual, NSR has the best places to stay within walking distance to the surf and we can get you all set up.

Welcome everyone to our daily surf report.  This is Miguel bringing you all the action we had on the beach, from the most popular beach to learn how to surf.  The waves were perfect to do lesson today, so we took advantage on that and went out with two new friends.  Check it out!!!

This is Manuel, one of the two new students we had out there.  He was catching tons of fun waves all over the place.  Here he is with a solid stand up on this one.

They were so stoked to make it out there today, but one of them had to pay some taxes.  That’s happen sometimes but afterwards he was all smiles.  They actually are thinking to do it again tomorrow.

Lucha Libre was able to go to the beach with us and paddled out, hoping to catch a few ones.  Here he is duck diving on this one, that’s pretty much what he did the whole sesh, but he never give up!

Here we have one more shot of Lucha going big with a vertical take off on this wave.  Keep working bro, you are starting to pick it up now!

We had some nice sized waves rolling in, that means that we might have some waves on the way.  We are hoping to score some nice sized waves as it forecasted in the next few days.

Oliver “El Monito” Solis jumped out in the water for a while as well.  Check him out walking straight to the nose on this sweet left hander.

The year is almost done and we want to show you a little bit of our traditions.  We make up a big toy trying to represent and old man and this is what we call ANO VIEJO.  At the end of the year we light it on fire, thinking to burn all the bad things we had during the year.  Hoping to have a better year.
Happy Holidays everyone!!!
