I went first to Santana beach, and as you can see, it was windy as hell. The waves had a good size but the wind made everything complicated.
There were only a few kids in the water, and they were having trouble finding the right waves. The sets were big and closing out most of the time.
The small waves in between sets were breaking better, but most of the time too closed to the sand.
It’s been so windy lately that all the fishermen got their nets out of the water so they didn’t loose it.
This kid was excited to be one of the two surfers out there. He knew the conditions were not great but he was having a great time.
Of course, with a boogieboard it makes the session less serious and super fun.
Check out the white caps on the horizon, super windy!
Yesterday,Buena Onda Resortorganized a Mini-Ramp Contest with the best skaters of Nicaragua plus a few tourists that were in the area.
There were a lot of competitors as well as spectators. It was a great event, and the location of the ramp is right on the sand! Thanks Buena Onda Resort, congratulations for the success of the event!
Around noon I took some clients for a surf lesson at Los Perros, with Panga Drops on the background.
Panga was breaking really good, specially the rights, the only issue was the strong winds that made it really hard to catch the waves.
Oliver, Colin and Katie are the best surf instructors in the area, contact usto coordinate a lesson with them.
Olivia had a great time with the surf lesson. She had a few wipeouts first but then she got the feeling and was having a great time.
We’ll see how it goes tomorrow, hopefully the wind will die down a little bit and then we can have a better surf session. See you tomorrow!
