PLAYA SANTANA
The last day of the year! Today the waves were small and it was windy (again), and most of the surfers in the area were resting and saving their energy for tonight.
At Santana the whole beach was open for this guy, the only surfer in the water… when was the last time you were by yourself in the water?
When you are surfing by yourself you don’t feel (that) bad when you miss a good wave, because you can just wait for the next good one and take it.
The beach was perfect to just lay on the sand and play with the kids… the (second) best way to spend the last day of the year, right?
2019 will be a great year for all of us… great conditions, great vibe in a great country.

Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. I saw the waves turn on and off about 7 separate times today. The conditions were in constant flux. It just so happened to be that the best window of the day was when I took pictures around 1:00pm.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were better by all measurable metrics today. It was still walled up and slow, but there were definitely some 10 pointers to be had.
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday evening’s surf report from Colorados. The swell was bigger and stronger today, but it was very slow between the sets. I think the lack of a secondary swell combined with the sandbars not being in perfect shape made for long waits.
