This board is pretty beefy, so it probably floats John well and his larger frame allowed him to surf it more like a performance board.

During carves it's important to drop your lead hand down so that you don't burn all of your speed, and so that you keep your heelside rail engaged.

I do my best to get this boards rail set in the water, but I always have a difficult time getting it to actually sink / engage. I guess that just means I need to hit more squats and deadlifts!

Another day of fun waves. Nothing epic, but playful. Surfline continues to dangle the carrot in the near term forecast, but I'm going to keep my expectations for later this week and weekend low. Hasta manana.

Hi everyone! Welcome to Sunday’s surf report from Spot X. The waves were definitely smaller today. It was inconsistent even at Spot X. There were a couple of good waves if you waited though.

Buenos tardes amigos! Happy Saturday and welcome to another round of surf reporting action from your favorite Nicaraguan surf spot! Clean conditions this morning with very light winds. It actually rained a little afterwards from shooting after I got back home. Clima súper extraño, te digo!!!
