Somewhere in Nicaragua
The groms were out having fun today, right?
Actually, it would have been really fun if it weren’t for all the JELLYFISH that have infiltrated the beach. I didn’t see one person who wasn’t stung. Some people got it worse than others…
Luis found that the best way to avoid the Jellyfish was to keep out of the water – way out of the water.
Well, it wasn’t so bad on the beach. The swell is supposed to pick up so check back tomorrow. Also, thanks again to everyone who contributed to help the first Nicaraguan Surf Team compete in Costa Rica. We are told that we’ll have between 13 and 15 participants making the trip – Thanks to you, 7 of those are being “sponsored” by NSR! Awesome. Stay tuned for coverage of the trip.
Welcome to the surf report and spanish class for today. It’s head high on sets out here at Maderas and the wind is offshore. Everybody is getting fun with good waves and without JELLYFISH.

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Fourth! Saturday’s report is coming your way from Colorados as per usual. It was smaller today, but very shreddable. Still a few tubitos too.
Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. I saw some of the biggest sets of the year today. There were epic moments, but it was still a bit slow between the high quality waves.

We’ve got another great day of surf here in Nicaragua. We’ve got overhead sets and the winds have been offshore all day. Today was Hot Carl’s and Zacateca’s last full day in Nicaragua, so we took a drive out to 4748’s to catch some waves. Check it out.
