Somewhere in Nicaragua

Pancho here with the Sunday Surf Report. Today we are coming to you LIVE from Panga Drops! Man, we don’t surf this wave enough. When all the other spots are flat, this reef break sucks in the swell and doubles it up in size. It’s got a shifty peak, goes left and right and rarely gets too crowded. It was chest high down the beach today and easily head-high here at Panga Drops. Here’s a shot looking straight out in front of the Colorado Condos (which we have available to rent by the way). Can’t really beat walking out your front door and surfing waves like this.

Here’s a couple of folks splitting a fun-sized peak. The Rights are typically better, but today the Lefts were just as fun.

Here goes another empty peak, passing through without any takers. Considering there were only about 5 guys out, I guess it’s OK. When it gets big, this place can hold triple-overhead waves!

Here’s a cool shot of the Gigante fishing village from a unique perspective. Those boats in the foreground are from the folks surfing the beach break.

We’ll close with a shot of Chapin from Giant’s Foot surf camp, working it all the way into the inside. That’s all for today. We’ve got some fun waves in the forecast for this next week so check back with us!

OK, this just in – we’ve got a Gorgeous George sighting! We haven’t seen him in a while and now we know why – he’s been stalking the Mackerel in the deep blue see. It’s good to see this glimpse of success and know that our hero is still alive and well. Just after this was taken, he vanished past the horizon line vowing never to be seen again. We’ll see about that Gorgeous George!

PLAYA COLORADO

Hey amigos. Welcome to Thursday’s late morning report from Colorados. It was clean this AM, but notably smaller. The sets still had enough size to offer up tubitos.

PLAYA COLORADO

Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. Wednesday was a let down compared to what was forecasted. It was not 4ft @ 16 sec as projected by Surf-lie haha. The sets were good when they came, but there was one quality set every 20 minutes roughly. It was a waiting..

PANGA DROPS

Hello Tuesday, I checked Colorado in the morning hoping the new swell was going to be showing, but didn’t see much happening yet. So decided to check Panga drops up the beach our local swell magnet. @tonyzphotos reporting.

Back in Mexico, Pascuales to be exact, the waves are still FIRING. Surfline is calling a 4 – 5 foot swell today and there are some double overhead bombs coming in. Check out the view from our front porch first thing in the morning.

We pulled the early morning dawn patrol at Maderas today. The waves were small – about chest high sets or so. It was raining pretty hard most of the day and the winds were offshore. Nothing special, but fun on the right board.
